Selling citrus fruit has become one of the most popular ways of raising large amounts of
risk free money for non-profit organizations such as churches, clubs, bands, and
schools. This is because citrus fruit is a healthy product that virtually sells
itself.
Our citrus fruit is shipped directly from our packing house, only hours after being harvested from our close-by groves, directly to your location. This means you will provide your customers with a product that is fresher and of much higher quality than anything they can purchase locally. You will also be able to offer the fruit at a price that will beat your local food store, even after adding your profit!
You only place an order for fruit that you have already pre - sold. There is never an outlay of cash on your part before you get the fruit. We do not require any prepayment prior to shipping and payment is not due until 30 days after your fruit has been shipped you!
Here's how it works.
Choose a date you want to distribute the fruit to your
buyers. Typically, but not always, our fundraiser buyers shoot for deliveries
around holiday periods like Thanksgiving, Christmas, or Easter, but, again, not
always. Review the "product availability" dates on our homepage to see what
varieties would be available for your delivery time. Choose one or more
varieties you may be interested in selling. Call the toll free 800 number above
any weekday afternoon, Arizona time, and ask to speak to Bill
about a fundraiser.
After discussing different fruit and packaging options and based on your delivery destination, Bill will call you back with delivered prices on each gift pack. With that information in hand, you and /or your organization can determine how much to charge your buyers per gift pack based on the profit you wish to make per package and based on your knowledge of the typical retail for that variety of fruit in your grocery store. Remember, the typical grocery store chain works on a markup of 2 1/4 times the delivered price on a non-sale item. If you believe you can sell a minimum of 108 to 270 full cartons, 198 to 495 half cartons, and/or 416 to 1,040 quarter cartons, call us back and let us know and then START SELLING!
The reason for the minimum quantities has to do with the ability to obtain lowest cost trucking for the fruit to your delivery destination. After your sales are complete, call us back no less than two weeks before your desired delivery date with your order. Give us the delivery address, preferred delivery time, and telephone number of your contact person. The fruit will then be delivered for you to distribute to your buyers on the date you specified. You will be billed for your order with payment due 30 days from the date of shipment.
